Mr. Midlige is a founding partner of MIDLIGE RICHTER, L.L.C. Mr. Midlige's practice focuses on the representation of health-care providers in litigated and non-litigated matters including compliance and practice structure issues, commercial disputes, collection, and PIP arbitration.  Mr. Midlige also frequently represents individuals in personal injury matters and small businesses embroiled in commercial disputes.

Mr. Midlige's sixteen years of practice provides a unique knowledge base to counsel and assist his clients.  For the first twelve years of practice, Mr. Midlige represented insurance companies in their efforts against health-care providers in fraud, anti-kickback, and compliance cases as well as defending individuals and corporate entities against personal injury and commercial claims. This experience provides Mr. Midlige with the knowledge to anticipate and prepare his clients against the various claims and defenses with which they may be confronted.

Mr. Midlige currently serves on the advisory council to the National Arbitration Forum which is the entity administrating all PIP arbitration matters for the State of New Jersey. He also frequently serves as a guest lecturer on topics including Insurance Fraud, Health-Care Compliance, PIP and SIU litigation and Bad Faith Insurance Practices.  Past presentations include: New Jersey Special Investigators Association annual conference-Bad Faith In Insurance Claim Handling presented October 2003; New Jersey Special Investigators Association annual conference-Ambulatory Surgical Centers presented October 2004;  New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education – Complex PIP/SIU litigation and arbitration presented October & December 2004 and February 2005; and  Guest lecturer on health-care compliance matters before board of Dental Examiners for continuing education presented August 2004.

Mr. Midlige's past achievements include representing litigants in cases involving novel issues of law and his reported decisions include Prupac v. Nardone, 332 N.J. Super. 126 (2000) and  Pfenninger v. Hunterdon Central Regional High School, 167 N.J. 230 (2001).

Prior to forming MIDLIGE RICHTER, L.L.C, Mr. Midlige was a partner at Rotolo Midlige where his practice included the defense and trial of civil negligence and complex commercial matters, premises liability, auto negligence, complex PIP and health care compliance matters, bad faith claims, insurance fraud matters, and public entity and public official’s liability claims.

Mr. Midlige is a former law clerk to the Honorable Robert A. Fall;   Honorable James D. Clyne; Honorable Rosalie B. Cooper; and Honorable Donald F. Campbell, of the Ocean County Superior Court.

Mr. Midlige received his J.D. degree from Seton Hall Law School in 1991. Prior thereto, Mr. Midlige graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1987, Magna Cum Laude, where he received a B.S. degree in Finance.   

Mr. Midlige is admitted to practice in all New Jersey Courts, as well as the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
